Jadis maison de vacances de l’une des plus grandes familles de France, ce château du XIIIe siècle, situé en dehors des circuits habituels de la région Nouvelle Aquitaine, n’est pas vraiment le relais de campagne qui vient naturellement à l’esprit.
De l'extérieur, le Domaine des Etangs ressemble à un château que l'on trouverait dans un livre de contes de fées : un château aux tourelles couleur miel, situé au bord d'un lac et entouré de forêts et d'étangs dans un coin peu visité du sud-ouest de la Franc...

The domaine and its infrastructure is very good. The castle with the different salons, hobby-room in the attic of the castle, Thermal area in the cellar is just wonderful. The room in the tower was very good. What is lacking is the service from the staff. The hotel is missing a soul. No motivated staff, not very welcoming.
